Marilyn Glasser began her career in the entertainment industry as a publicist in the Feature Film Division of Paramount Pictures, rising to the position of Director of Foreign Advertising and Publicity. In that capacity, she coordinated worldwide publicity and advertising for such films as The Godfather, Love Story, and Franco Zefferelli’s Romeo and Juliet, and conducted press conferences with many stars of Paramount films, including Woody Allen, Jack Lemmon, Kirk Douglas, Donald Sutherland and Warren Beatty. After eight years, she joined International Creative Management (ICM) as a Business Affairs Representative and was then made an Agent. In both of those positions, she secured bookings and handled contract negotiations on behalf of star clients, including Patricia Clarkson, Courtney B. Vance, Jerry Stiller and Tommy Tune. Entrepreneurial by nature, after nine years at the agency, Marilyn decided to venture out on her own, and over the next twenty years guided her clients to success at the highest levels of the entertainment industry. Actors whose careers Marilyn has launched include: Dagmara Dominczyk (Female Lead in Disney's The Count of Monte Cristo), Donovan Patton (Series Regular - Emmy Nominee - Blue’s Clues and Team Umizoomi), Jacob Pitts (Lead in Dreamworks' Euro Trip), Ellen Pompeo (Lead in independent film, Moonlight Mile), and Kim Shaw (Supporting Lead in Dreamworks' She’s Out Of My League). Clients also appeared on and off Broadway in productions including "Phantom" and "Closer."
Marilyn spent her early years as a personal manager developing relationships with agents, network, studio and independent casting directors, and acting coaches in both New York and Los Angeles. For the past fifteen years, she has been editing client demo reels, taking available footage and culling it into the strongest and most impressive three to five minutes of the actor’s work. These efforts, together with hands-on coaching of clients, have resulted in numerous callbacks and clients landing starring roles in such film and television productions as: 21, The Pacific, Dawson’s Creek, and television pilots. All of this, combined with Marilyn's insight, her extensive knowledge of entertainment law, and her understanding of the critical role of publicity in an actor’s career, have helped position Marilyn’s seasoned and beginning clients to "grow their business" and take their careers to the next level, with roles that advance their standing within the industry and in the public eye.
